The Navy League, Aiken-Augusta celebrated the 234rd birthday of the United States Navy with a gala dinner dance and program at the Augusta Country Club on the evening of October 10, 2009. See the pictures of the evening below. The event included special entertainment and music for dancing by the fabulous 15 piece "Swingsation" orchestra. The guest speaker honoring the U.S. Navy was Rear Admiral David M. Thomas, Jr. (Commander, George H.W. Bush Carrier Strike Group and Commander, Carrier Strike Group 2).
